1. Personal Data
Boats4rent (a trade name of Boaty B.V.) collects your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide us with this data yourself. This may be the case when:
- personal contact, email contact, telephone contact and/or
- making a reservation via our website, by telephone or in person and/or
- entering into a rental agreement for the rental of one or more of our vessels.
In the first case, we generally collect the following data: first and last name, telephone number and email address. If you contact us on behalf of a company, we also note the name of that company.
When making a reservation, we also ask you for your first and last name, telephone number and email address. Payment for your reservation is not processed on our website, but on that of the payment provider, via your own bank or by means of a card payment on site.
When drawing up the actual rental agreement before departure with your rented vessel, we ask the formal main renter (who does not have to be the same person who made the reservation) for the following: first and last name, date of birth, address details, telephone number, email address, identification and credit card as deposit.
2. Purposes
Boats4rent processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- to be able to handle your enquiry or reservation satisfactorily;
- to provide care and support when necessary;
- to inform you about information we believe may be valuable to you;
- to be able to contact you if necessary;
- to comply with legal obligations regarding our administration and tax returns.
3. Retention Period
Boats4rent does not retain your personal data longer than we consider necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected.
4. Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties
Boats4rent does not sell your data to third parties and will only provide it when necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. Where necessary, we may provide your information to designated external service providers, for example for the processing of payments.
5. Cookies
Boats4rent only uses standard technical, functional and analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website.
The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and remember, for example, your preferences. They also allow us to optimise our website.

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion or withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@bootjehureninamsterdam.com. The deletion of data that, due to tax obligations, cannot be removed from our administration for a certain period is excluded from this right.

Boats4rent takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification.

8. Changes to the Privacy Policy
Boats4rent reserves the right to modify this privacy policy at any time without prior notice. It is therefore recommended to periodically check whether any changes have been made.
