What you get before departure at Nassaukade 155
Please arrive 10 minutes early. At our berth opposite Nassaukade 155, on the edge of the Jordaan, we explain how to steer, the key canal rules and which routes fit in 2 or 3 hours. You leave with a water map showing where you may and may not sail.
In practice: we come aboard with you, show throttle and steering, point out one-way canals and pick a loop that fits your time. We only cast off once everyone feels ready.
Common misconceptions
No license does not mean anything goes
You may sail yourself, but you remain responsible for the boat, your group and other water users. Common sense and good seamanship still apply.
You do not need a skipper

Most guests sail here for the first time. The motor is electric and quiet, the pace is slow, and we explain everything until you feel ready.
