About Amsterdam Light Festival 2023/2024

Experience the Amsterdam Light Festival from the water and rent your own boat from Boats4rent. The festival takes place from November 30, 2023 to January 21, 2024. The lights shine on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

However, keep the following exceptions in mind:

During the Christmas holidays (December 23 to January 6), the lights are on until 11:00 PM.
On New Year’s Eve (December 31) all lights remain off.
On December 8, there will be an interruption from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM due to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Nemo Science Museum, due to a blockage on the Oosterdok between Nemo and Marineterrein.

How much does it cost to rent a boat for the Amsterdam Light Festival?

The rate for renting a boat during the Amsterdam Light Festival is €89 for a period of 2 hours. This rate includes the ticket surcharge charged by the Amsterdam Light Festival.
