Would you rather plan a route yourself? With our handy sailing map you can easily deviate from the existing sailing routes and see exactly where you can and cannot sail. Experience it yourself and book your boat at Boats4rent Boat Rental.

Canal Route

Cruise through the most famous canals of Amsterdam, such as the Singel, the Herengracht, the Keizersgracht and the Prinsengracht. During the Canal Route you will see countless buildings from the Golden Age full of tall, narrow buildings with graceful decorations. The Amsterdam canal belt is beautiful. It is not without reason that it has been on the World Heritage List since 2010. Explore Amsterdam from the water and see the Magere Brug, the 9 Straatjes, the Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk, the Anne Frank House and the Westerkerk with different eyes.

Wallenroute

The Wallen are not only unique in the Netherlands, but also in the rest of the world. Every year this area attracts many tourists from all over the world. The Wallen are also known as the Red Light District, Oud Mokum, Red Light District or Nieuwmarktbuurt. Experience the unique atmosphere of the Wallenroute and admire the Oude Kerk, Hotel de L’Europe and the Rembrandthuis from the water.

Plantation Route

Combine green and city with the Plantage Route. This route takes you through the Plantage district, a neighborhood with unique buildings and lots of greenery. There is a good chance that you will also encounter exotic animals, because this ‘city safari’ takes you past Artis. Follow the Plantage Route and discover the beautiful Hortus Botanicus, the Tropenmuseum, Carré, the Amstel Hotel and the Muiderpoort from the water.

Berlage route

This route takes you through Oud-Zuid, where architect Hendrik Petrus Berlage designed many buildings. His style is inspired by the Amsterdam School style: bricks in different colours, shapes and textures, with rounded corners and wavy rooflines. Berlage’s buildings are richly decorated on the outside and therefore a feast for the eyes. During this route you will pass Paradiso, the Apollo Hotel and the Olympic Stadium, among others.

Create your own route

Not convinced by the previous routes? Or would you rather take a detour? You can easily map out your own route with our handy map. It shows where you are and are not allowed to sail. If necessary, ask whether your route fits within the time.
